Location Visit

From My House To Birmingham City Centre - November 3rd
It was important that I planned my route to town from my home to ensure that I arrived for our class trip on time. Punctuality was vital in order to capture all the capture all of the images and video footage we required for our broadcast and title sequence. My journey began from Sheldon at 8:30am to Snow Hill station, where I had to arrive for 9am. I used Google maps to plan my route from home to town, this gave me the most efficient route from my location.

Here is the text conversation that took place between me and my friend when we organised the time we were going to meet. This was done to ensure that we arrived on time which would set a precedent for the efficiency of our time management throughout the rest of the day. Timing was important on the location visit as we only had short amounts allocated to shoot and capture on certain locations, thus it was imperative that we planned appropriately.

Filming Day Captures
Our group went on a filming day to Birmingham city centre so that we could record an archive of footage to use later on when producing our title sequences and potentially our TV news programme. We also asked members of the public to gives us feed back on questions we had prepared for them about local TV news. We considered the use of different camera angles and shot types when taking images and we tried to incorporate images of urban areas, different ethnicities and iconic landmarks. It was difficult to find images of rural areas in the industrial city centre.
